Helpful Advice On How To Use A Chipper On A Golf Course

Using a chipper on a golf course; have you ever imagined how you would be able to make this work? How often do you get to the course and wish you were able to get this simple thing done? How often have you tried to make it work only to fail miserably while you were at it? Well, it is important to know that you are not the only one. At times it is important to learn the need to use a particular shot or a club before you learn how to use it. When you do this, it becomes easier for you to understand why you really do need that particular move, and how it will affect or improve your game while you are at it. Ideally when using a chipper, what you are simply doing is making an attempt to get the ball as closer to the hole as possible from the rough.

The following are some simple things that you can do in order to help you get this done. Remember that it might take you some time to perfect your skill, but when you do, you will be grateful you managed to make it work:

  • Focus on the grip
  • Manage your stance
  • Perfect the swing

Focus on the grip

First off you need to think hard and deep about the grip that you are using for this shot. You are supposed to relax your grip, pretty much the same way that you do when you are performing a putt. The concept here is to make sure that you have the club really comfortable within your hands, giving you an easier experience when delivering the stroke that you want.

Manage your stance

The next thing that you are supposed to think about is keeping a really good stance. Your stance is supposed to be as close to the ball as possible. Spread your feet apart while you are at it. ¾ of your weight should be shifted to the leading foot, or in short your foot that is as closer to the green as possible.

Perfect the swing

Draw the club downward with an arcing swing. Remember that this is supposed to be an accelerating swing as you are making an attempt to keep the shot perfect. Keep working on this repeatedly until you are able to get it right.
